Report on the 7th IBSSA International Bodyguard Ball

On the 25th February 2005 IBSSA Headquarters organised a very successful and colourful Bodyguard Ball in HILTON Hotel in Budapest / Hungary. IBSSA leaders, corporate and individual members of the association and their relatives along with the representatives of the civil security sphere, police generals and also high-ranking officers were invited to attend the International Bodyguard Ball. With the organisation of the private event the R.B.Gy. PR Agency was entitled.

Main Patron:

  • H.R.H. Prince Michael James Alexander STEWART OF ALBANY
    • Honorary President of IBSSA

Patron:

  • Prof. George POPPER, GCKM
    • President of the IBSSA

Honorary guests:

  • Rev. Philip J. CASCIA (USA)
    • Honorary Vice President of the IBSSA for the American Continent
  • Dr. Gyõzö BENDES
    • Brigadier-General – Leader of the Budapest Directorate of the Hungarian Border Guards

More than 150 participants from Austria, Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, Switzerland, Yugoslavia and the USA were present at this event. Beside all Hungarian IBSSA leaders and big company leaders many Hungarian and foreign high police officers (generals, colonels), chief instructors of Special Police Forces, leading international businessmen, security experts and famous artists – like David MERLINI – honoured the ball.

The organisers have invited one of the most popular bands called “Netti és a Hollander Zenekar” who have already entertained the audience of the previous Bodyguard Balls. All artists were very pleasant surprises for the guests especially the fabulous singer Judith SZUCS, who dazzled the audience with her voice. The Old Fashioned Photograph Show was again the most favoured one among our guests during the evening. The ready-made pictures reminded us to our grand parents’ time with their brownish background and black frame. The guests could choose among a great number of costumes from the turn of the century and received one of the most popular presents of the ballperiod, the “Old Fashioned Photo” of themselves. Besides the popular Old Fashioned Photograph Show the guests had the possibility to play cards and play the roulette – lay the stakes – free of charge and without prejudice. Now everyone could test his / her luck at the roulette table.

IBSSA would like to express its special thanks and congratulation to Mr. György B. RÓZSA – Owner of R.B.Gy PR Agency – for the successful organisation of this event.
