Extraordinary Elective Congress of WKC 23rd April 2005, Belgrade / Serbia and Montenegro

The Extraordinary Elective Congress of World Karate Confederation (WKC) was held on the 23rd April 2005 in Belgrade, where the following main points were decided:

Amendments of the Statutes:

The Executive Committee (EC) has now 5 members:

 

President and 4 Vice-Presidents

 

The Ordinary Elective Congress is held every 4 years

The Extraordinary Congress delegates elected the new EC:

Vice-President: Mr. Joe Mirza AAU, USA

The Congress delegates elected the following officials:

Dr. Fritz Wendland (GER) Founding President of the WKC IBSSA Honorary Founding Member

The Congress delegates and the new Executive Committee members extended their full support for the 5th WKC World Championships in Fortaleza, Brazil, from 22nd to 26th June 2005.

WKC (World Karate Confederation) is a dynamically developing international karate federation; its European or World Championships are not anymore behind the championships of the other international federation, the WKF. Moreover, because WKC preserved the let say traditional regulations of karate, its events are more and more popular!

The Extraordinary Elective Congress was a great success with the participation of many member federations. Our congratulations for the new leadership of WKC and we wish great success in the future!
