Rescue Operations by IBSSA Czech Republic and IBSSA Hungary, August 2002

With a team of 100 people IBSSA Czech Republic and Graddo Company have been participating in rescue operations and evacuation process in the country during the catastrophic flood. The team has also started rescue work in Prague with especial regard to protect historical monuments - as the Vltava has surged through the city, engulfing part of the historic town. Another 50 people from IBSSA Czech Republic under the leadership of Dr. CACH have begun salvage work in Austria as well.

Water levels in Prague appear to have dropped by up to 1.5 metres during Wednesday night although fear still exists. About 50,000 Prague residents have been evacuated, including those in the historic Old Town, while flood barriers are at their maximum level.

Dr. Alexander CACH - Country Representative of IBSSA for Czech Republic and Chairman of Board of Graddo A.S. - uses the organization abilities of his managers and special training of the security agency Graddo to jointly help in the rescue of lives and property of their fellow citizens.

IBSSA Hungary collaborating with the Hungarian Sanitary Section of the Disaster Averting Unit of "The Federation of Autonomous Priories of the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta" with a team of 40-50 people (supplied with technical equipment) is participating in rescue operations at the most endangered places of Hungary.
