On the occasion of the III. "SEC-tember" IBSSA International Special Security Advanced Training Course the IBSSA Board Members held an extended meeting to discuss the most important matters concerning IBSSA and IBSSA EQ Department.

Prof. George POPPER - President of IBSSA welcomed the leaders, he officially opened the meeting and gave a detailed report about his visit in Aberdeen / Scotland. The President of IBSSA also gave brief information on the forthcoming events of other organisations:

  • The 1st World Congress of WAAF in Berlin / Germany
• 16 October 2004
  • IBSSA Official Meeting in Miami / USA
• 17 - 22 October 2004
  • 45th Annual International Drug Conference in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida / USA
• 21 - 24 October 2004
  • 4th WKC Junior World Championships and World Cup for Children, Darmstadt / Germany

Prof. George POPPER - President of IBSSA gave an update on the present situation and positions of the EQ Department. He announced officially that Dr. Rony KLUGER - General Secretary of IBSSA will be the permanent Chairman of the Education and Qualification Department. The full members are:

• Dr. Miki VARGA (HUN)
• Mr. Stephen CHEE (SIN)
• Mr. Eddie STONE (GBR)
• Mr. Roberto De RONZI (ITA)
• and of course the Chairman of the department.

Dr. Zeev GEFFEN (ISR) - as Chairman of Bodyguard Department, was appointed official advisor and he is permanently invited to all department meetings.

The IBSSA leaders agreed that the EQ department will issue "Instructor" ranks to some special candidates during the III. "SECtember"training course. The department members will communicate and work in full union. New ideas of the department and dates of courses will be published soon.

Prof. George POPPER expressed his thanks to the present leaders for their active work and officially closed the meeting.
