Report on the Special training of practical Ju Jitsu by the IBSSA International Sport Federation (ISF) 17 – 20 April 2005, Israel

IBSSA President Prof. George POPPER and Shihan István KELEMEN visited Israel for a short but very intense combined training seminar serial. First time were combined efforts of Ju Jitsu and Karate Do together for teaching elite Martial Arts.

The invitation established by the efforts of Dr. Rony KLUGER – President of IBSSA ISF and his friends Sensei Ronen ELIYAHU and Eyal COHEN. The three organized a very fine training seminar, where Shihan Kelemen taught students of Ju Jitsu and Karate Do his art. The organization of the event was very successful and over 300 students participated in the four days seminar.

During the visit we met some senior Ju Jitsu teachers of Israel as well Shihan Yehuda VAS DIAS and Sensei Oren GORGOV. No question that the successful seminar will be the first in a row of seminars and cooperation between all of involved. Some serious meetings took part about matters of IBSSA ISF and future possible developments and activities. Also full cooperation between Ju Jitsu and Karate students and Instructors were discussed positively by Prof. POPPER, Dr. KLUGER and Shihan KELEMEN and the group of senior local Instructors. Next step of the cooperation will be during the famous summer camp in Hungary leaded by Shihan KELEMEN.

No question that this visit is an important one for the future development of IBSSA ISF.
