Report on the visit of the Executive President of IBSSA to Lausanne 22 - 23 November 2002, IOC - Lausanne / Switzerland

Prof. George POPPER, GCKM - Executive President of IBSSA, Vice President of the Executive Council and President of the East European Region of CIP-UIOF was invited to the General Council Meeting of the International Projects Center, held at IOC in Lausanne / Switzerland on the 22nd November 2002.

Her Excellency Maria Teresa Da Costa Macedo - President of the Executive Council warmly welcomed Prof. Popper and other attendees from the region.

The following members of IBSSA, who were appointed last year to represent their country in CIP-UIOF, participated at the General Council meeting

• Dr. Giuseppe MORABITO, GCKM from Italy
• Dr. Constantin BUZATU, KCM from Romania
• The Czech delegation were representing Dr. Alexandr CACH, KM - Director of the Executive Council and Representative of CIP-UIOF in Czech Republic, who could not participate at the meeting owing to pressure of business (Speech of Dr. Cach - ANNEX 1)

On behalf of the IBSSA Board of Directors, Prof. George POPPER - Executive President of IBSSA offered the following services of the Association to the International Projects Center

• The East European Region of CIP-UIOF undertook the organization of the Executive Council Meeting to be held between 7-11 April 2003 either in the Czech Republic or in Hungary depending on circumstances, where to find better conditions. The Region will inform the General Council about the exact date and place of the Executive Council Meeting not later than 31st January 2003.
• On behalf of IBSSA, the delegation - confirming the above-mentioned offer - undertook that IBSSA will guarantee and organise the security of the Executive Council Meeting in April 2003 either in the Czech Republic or in Hungary and the security of the General Council Meeting between 13-17 October in Cairo / Egypt.
• IBSSA also offered the assistance of Dr. Anna POPPER for all future events and work of CIP-UIOF with especial regard to her international and organizing experience, extensive erudition and knowledge of 8 languages.
