Appointment

Dr. Paul HÖGLUND (SWE) – Honorary Executive President of IBSSA ISF was elected President of the International Ju Jitsu Federation by the congress. We congratulate him for this appointment and wish a successful and fruitful work during his presidency.

Recognition

Mr. Attila MISKOLCZI (HUN) - Instructor of IBSSA received the 5th Dan in Karate, as he passed the exam during the Hungarian training camp of Dr. Rony KLUGER - General Secretary of IBSSA and Chairman of Education and Qualification Department of IBSSA - in April 2003.

Knight Ceremony

On the 27th April 2003 the International Knightly Order of St. George with all solemnity was conferring new Knights in Kecskemét / HUNGARY. The Order was founded in 1326 by Robert Charles (Károly Róbert) and it was the first non-ecclesiastic established Knight Order in Europe. The center of the Order has been operating in Great Britain since the II. World War. During the Conferring Ceremony the following IBSSA members were honoured to be conferred Knights

The Mayor of Kecskemét City gave an official reception in honour of the Knights. The Hungarian TV and media publicised the event in significant extent.

Slovakian Section

During his visit in Bratislava / SLOVAK REPUBLIC on the 26th April 2003, Prof. George POPPER, GCKM – Executive President of IBSSA met Mr. Peter RICHTER, who gave Prof. Popper a complimentary lunch in the name of Dr. Vladimir VYSKOC - Country Representative of IBSSA for Slovak Republic. Dr. Vyskoc could not welcome the Executive President due to his trip to Paris. Prof. George POPPER gave information about all actual events of IBSSA to the Slovakian members. Mr. Richter reported, that he will be able to participate regularly at IBSSA events and be an active member in the work of the IBSSA Slovakian Section.
